I’ve added a few pencil drawings to eBay.. I know! Finally, right?!

I apologize for the wait, but I think bidders will be pleased that the starting bid is under $25 for each of 5 original pencil sketches, and the “Buy It Now” price is just $75 each.

AND….

10% of proceeds will be donated to Annabelle’s Second Chance Pit Bull Rescue.

You can view the new listings here.

Update: I know, I know.. It’s been more than a “couple” of days!  Many humble apologies for keeping you waiting!  The following auction listings will be posted tomorrow!  (That’s November 11.)  Thank you for your patience. ❤

In the next couple of days, I will be posting some drawings on eBay.  Normally, if someone doesn’t claim them before the sealant is dry, I post paintings and drawings for sale on the main website.  But, since I originally started off selling some on eBay years ago, I thought it’d be a nice bit of nostalgia to list them that way again.   And, it’s a way of saying “thank you” to my supporters.   The starting bids will be affordable, and I have not done a lot of publicizing, so there’s a chance to get some deals!

Each drawing is in ebony pencil, on 9×12 sketch paper with smudge resistant clear coat.

Here’s a preview of some of the listings– the “S.Lynnette” watermarks are not part of the drawings.  🙂

The holidays are coming!  And I have reduced prices on most of the items in my Zazzle store, just in time!

And, those art auctions I mentioned several days ago are on the way.  I’ve finished a few new sketches, and will be listing them for auction on eBay with low starting bids.  Those will be posted in the next couple of days, and of course I will post a blog update when I list them!  It’s my way of saying “thank you” to the clients and customers who have supported me, and it’s how I pay for website maintenance, too, so don’t be bashful about bidding high! 😀

And, since most of us can always use a little luck, I will also be listing a few lucky clovers for auction at reduced prices, even though they are already very affordable and available on the main website at soulbearing.com.  Happy shopping!

When I first started offering original paintings and drawings online, I started by listing them on eBay with very affordable starting bids.  As the quality of and demand for an artist’s work increases, the price usually increases, too.  Often, the result is that the original works become unattainable for many.  This is one of the reasons I offer prints of some of my work in a store on Zazzle.

But, I’ve decided to go a step further.

The plan for the next couple of days is to finish several drawings, which will then be auctioned on eBay with very reasonable starting bids.

I’ll post the link in a new entry on this blog when the listings are open for bids.  It should be just a few days.

Proceeds will go toward keeping the soulbearing.com website running, and toward paying off my student loans. 🙂

Many humble thanks to all my clients and customers– past, present, and future!

Ok, maybe “bulk” isn’t exactly the right word, since I tend to think of “bulk” orders as being in the thousands, or at the very least, hundreds.

But, due to several recent requests, I’ve updated the site and added pricing for larger quantities, so now you can order quantities of 25 and 50 individually framed 4 leaf clovers, and receive a lower price for it!

It’s great for events, but please plan ahead.  I ask that customers allow 30 days for a large order to ship, though orders may arrive earlier.  Though they are not color-treated, if you receive them in advance, they will stay green for a very long time (months or even years), as long as they are kept in a cool, dark place.

I was looking at my recent sales on Zazzle and noticing how many “3rd party referrals” there have been!  Wow!  Thanks so much for helping spread the word!

As rewarding as it is to earn an income with my artistic talents and skills, it is even more rewarding knowing that others are also benefitting financially by promoting my work.  (For any non-Zazzlers reading this, Zazzle will pay a 15% sales commission on sales generated by members’ referrals, in addition to paying royalties to the artist.)

An interesting side effect is the sudden feeling of being less alone.  Often in freelance art, artists work alone, and there are times when one might think, “It’s. Just. Me.”   But, how could I possibly feel that way when I have an entire team of fantastic promoters, most of whom are complete strangers somewhere in cyberspace but help to promote my work anyway?

I’ve often joked that “by this time next year, I’ll be bigger than Warhol.”  At this rate, perhaps someday I will be stating with astonishment, “Omg! I was kidding when I said that! I never expected this to actually happen!”

Thank you, again, Zazzlers.  And thanks to my clients and customers, too.  Your efforts allow me to do what I do.  Please know that you are always appreciated.

I almost never do markdowns directly on the main website— promotional prices usually are listed on ebay or as clearance, and even those are rare– but this weekend is special.

Not only is it Friday the 13th, but there is also a full moon!  It’s so rare that it will not happen again until 2049!  I don’t know if it’s good luck or bad luck, but one can’t be too careful!

So, to mark the occasion, the newest style of framed 4 leaf clovers is marked down by about 20%.  Get them individually, or in groups of 3 to save more.

And, good luck this weekend!!

Saucer magnolias, aka “tulip trees”, are among my absolute favorite flowers.  While the scent may not be as strong as that of the southern magnolia, the color more than makes up for it.  Every spring, the bare trees seem to suddenly burst with pink and white petals, which last for a few magical days before raining down, to be replaced by fresh spring leaves.  As a child, the tulip tree in my grandfather’s yard was my favorite to climb.  The view in the midst of all those flowers is amazing.

To share some of that feeling, I’ve added some new goodies to the soulbearing zazzle store— fabulous merchandise printed with fabulous floral photos created by yours truly.  The selection shown here is just a small example of a wide range of images, products, and gifts available.  You can even personalize them.

I finally managed to get the photos and shopping cart buttons added for the latest framed 4 leaf clover style– they’re gorgeous, of course!  And, I managed to keep the price reasonable!

Now, my focus will be on finishing the overhaul I started on the art studio *2 years* ago, and on creating more art, more photos, and yes, more 4 leaf clover goodies, too!

I still have the 4 leaf clover key chains to post, and I have also been looking through some of my earlier artwork, considering listing some of it for sale.  I am not sure about that though– I’m a bit sentimental about a lot of that.  But, while I am deciding, have a look at the newest framed clovers, and the latest additions to the zazzle store.

If you missed the original tangent about student loans and my mother recently taking up photography, here’s that entry.

But you don’t need the explanation to appreciate the images.

The new photos are finally posted, and the new framed 4 leaf clovers are still on the way.

The latest images are by *Mom* (yes, that’s my mother! and I’m so glad she’s creating again!).  She wants to use the money from the proceeds of her images to help with my student loans.  I have some mixed feelings about it because she shouldn’t have to worry about this stuff, but I am glad she is motivated to be creative again.   Photography is a fairly new medium for her.  She worked as an illustrator and did silk screening for a long time, but stopped creating years ago.  If some of the subject matter in the photos seems familiar, it should!  The photos were taken in the same area as many of mine, and some which haven’t been posted yet are even of some of the same buildings.

These images are already available on a wide range of items (the squirrel is a personal fave):
